  • Project Overview

    Project Components

This consultancy analyses the economic and social impact of research, development and innovation activities in Saudi Arabia. The study collects data from public and private stakeholders, identifies key drivers of RDI growth, and models how investment in RDI contributes to GDP, job creation and social wellbeing. It provides recommendations for policies to maximise returns and attract global partnerships.

    A. The Challenge

Saudi Arabia lacked a holistic understanding of how research and innovation activities influence economic diversification and social development. Existing data were fragmented and inconsistent, hindering evidence‑based policy making.

    B. Our Solution

Our experts designed a structured methodology to collect and verify data, built econometric and scenario models and consulted stakeholders across academia, industry and government. We analysed international benchmarks and produced a comprehensive report with metrics and policy scenarios.

    C. Key Achievements

The study delivered clear insights into the contribution of RDI to national development. It identified priority sectors for investment and recommended governance mechanisms to boost impact. Findings informed policy decisions and attracted wider support for the national RDI ecosystem.
